Mrs. Elizabeth Mullins, age 107, of Talking Rock, Georgia, died Tuesday January, 4, 2011 at Heritage Healthcare in Jasper Georgia following a period of declining health.Born September 10, 1903 in Fairburn Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William Howard Elder and Lillian Shannon Elder. Mrs. Mullins majored in music at Tift College, had a conservatory diploma in piano performance and a degree in education from Oglethorpe University. She studied piano pedagogy at Washington and was state and nationally certified as a teacher of piano held emeritus certificates in both.

Mrs. Mullins taught in the DeKalb County Schools for 20 years, and then retired to spend full time with music. She taught piano privately and served as a volunteer for Life Enrichment Services. Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Decatur, where she served as pianist and organist for many years.

Survivors include SON, Irving Mullins, of Talking Rock, Ga.; DAUGHTER, Carolyn Bragg, of Melbourne, Fla., GRANDCHILDREN, John Bragg, of Melbourne Fla., Sgt. Michael Bragg, U.S. National Guard, Fla., THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN , EIGHT NEICES, AND NEPHEWS, also survive.

At her request, Mrs. Mullins was cremated and a Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Jasper United Methodist Church in Jasper, Georgia, Rev. Chip Wilson will officiate.
