DEFENDANTS IN MAJOR TRAFFICKING CASE ENTER GUILTY PLEAS

Major Source of Methamphetamine to Pickens, Gilmer and Fannin Counties receives 20 years in prison.

Charles Truman Millwood, Arnulfo Pineda-Rivere a/k/a Paco, Reyes Pacheco Rojas, Alejendro Rivera Pleaded guilty to Trafficking in more than 400 grams of Methamphetamine in Pickens County Superior Court.

Arnulfo Pineda-Rivera was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to pay a $300,000 fine. Millwood was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation and ordered to pay a $200,000 fine. Reyes Pacheco Rojas and Alejandro Rivera were each sentenced to 15 years to serve in prison and each ordered to pay a $200,000 fine.

The sentences were the result of a five-year investigation by the Zell Miller Mountain Parkway Drug Task Force and were assited in this case by the Pickens and Gilmer County Sheriff’s Offices.

District Attorney Joe Hendricks stated “This arrests, prosecutions and convictions obtained under this case contributed to a significant reduction in the amount of methamphetamine coming into Pickens, Gilmer and Fannin Counties. Our community can be especially proud of the work of our multijurisdictional drug task force in taking down a major drug trafficking operation.”
