Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Coleman, age 79, of Jasper, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia, following a brief illness.

Born May 22, 1932 in Cobb County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Stancil and Ida Mae Thompson Stancil. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Coleman. Mrs. Coleman had worked as a nurse at the Tate Clinic and was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church.

Survivors include, HER HUSBAND, Monk Coleman, of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER & SON-IN-LAW, Vickie and Jerry Dobson, of Jasper, Ga.; SON & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, Larry and Patricia Coleman, of Jasper, Ga.; SISTERS & BROTHERS-IN-LAW, Vivian and Billy Westbrook, of Jasper, Ga.; Ola and Gary Quarles, of Marietta, Ga.; BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-LAW, Carl, Jr. and Jean Stancil, of Jasper, Ga.; Perry and Hilda Stancil, of Blairsville, Ga.; Douglas and Pam Stancil, of Jasper, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Brett Dobson, Todd Dobson, Dan Dobson, Andrea Goode and Alicia Coleman, all of Jasper, Ga.; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Taylor Dobson, Tanner Dobson, Tucker Dobson, Quinn Dobson, Chelsea Coleman, Destiny Fincher and Kayla Fincher. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

At her request, Mrs. Coleman was cremated and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2011, at the Refuge Baptist Church, the Rev. Carter Payne will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so, may make contributions to The Trust Fund for Great-Grandchildren at the Jasper Banking Company.
