Mr. David Boyd “Toddy” Parker, age 75, of Jasper, Georgia, died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at his residence, following a period of declining health.
Born August 28, 1936 in Pickens County, he was the son of the late William Lee Parker and Stella Mae Clark Parker. He was also preceded in death by Sons, David Parker, Jr. and Talmadge Lee Parker, Sisters, Phebie Vancott and Dorothy Dameron and a Brother, Bill Parker. Mr. Parker was a truck driver with the J.P. Haynes Lumber Company in Canton, Georgia and was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include HIS WIFE, Betty Parker, of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTERS, Joyce Swanson, of Acworth, Ga.; Nancy Parker, of Woodstock, Ga.; Janice Hamby, of Acworth, Ga.; Jennifer Parker, of Murphy, N.C.; SONS, Jason Parker, of Murphy, N.C.; Randy Parker, of Ellijay, Ga.; Richard Parker, of Jasper, Ga.; SISTERS, Alma Bryant, of Jasper, Ga.; Sue Parris, of Jasper, Ga.; Louise Hood, of Dallas, Ga.; Ann Ethridge, of Riverdale, Ga.; BROTHERS, Paul Parker, of Dahlonega, Ga.; and Bobby Charles Parker, of Riverdale, Ga.; 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at the Yellow Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Gary Poole and Rev. William Blackwell will officiate, with the interment to follow in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, all day on Tuesday and prior to the Funeral Hour on Wednesday.

Arrangements and Services are entrusted to Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper, Georgia.
