A 16-year-old juvenile male from Jasper Georgia is being charged with murder following the stabbing death of his step-father late Friday night in the gated community of the Preserve at Sharp Mountain.On November 23, 2012 at approximately 11:55 pm, Pickens Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call from an individual at 156 Fern Creek Court in Jasper, Georgia regarding a person stabbed. The victim, 36 year old Christopher Allen of Jasper, was then transported to Kennestone Hospital where he died in surgery.
Sheriff Donnie Craig said “the juvenile stabbed his step-father with a sword, following a verbal argument.” The 16-year-old is in custody at the Juvenile Detention Center in Dalton. He was arrested at the scene after a relative called 911.
The weapon used was a Samurai style sword that was part of a collection of replica items.
Arrangements are being made at this time for the juvenile to have a First Appearance Hearing before a Judge on Monday. Once his appearance has been made, authorities hope to be able to release the name and a photograph of the juvenile.
