William Stephen “Trapper” Spruill, age 84 of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.
Born August 13, 1929 in Fulton County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Floyd Calvin Spruill and Allie Mae Eidson Spruill. Mr. Spruill had worked as a heavy equipment operator with Waste Management was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church in Pickens County.

Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 55 YEARS, Barbara Spruill of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER, Lee Ann Mills of Cumming, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, William Stephen Spruill, Jr. and wife, Sherrie of Cumming, Ga.; Calvin Scott Spruill of Dahlonega, Ga.; GRANDDAUGHTER, Shannon Elizabeth Acito of Woodstock, Ga.; GREAT-GRANDSONS, Justin Almond and Jackson Acito; Several Nieces, Nephews and a dog name “Blue”.

At his request, Mr. Spruill was cremated.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Jimmy Hogan will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9, 2014, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
