Golden Knight Comes to the Tater Patch

The Golden Knight Live, a live action children’s fantasy show, will be performing at the Tater Patch Players Theater in Jasper, Georgia on August 8, 2015 at 10am. The theater is located at 95 Philadelphia Lane in Jasper behind the Wal-Mart shopping center. The event is sponsored by the Tater Patch Players community theater group and the authors. Admission is free. The Golden Knight Live is based on the children’s book series, The Golden Knight, written by the father and son team of Steven Clark and Justin Clark. There are currently three (3) books in the series.

The Golden Knight Live follows the adventures of a young farm boy on a quest to fulfill the ancient prophecy of the Golden Knight so that his land may be reunited with the King and the Kingdom. Set in medieval times in a world separated by The Great Divide, he is joined on his journey by an unlikely set of companions, Marsonee the archangel , Princess Rainna and Franco the thief. In order to succeed, they must set aside their differences to defeat the evil sorcerer, Murlox, who will stop at nothing to destroy the Ancient Book of the Law. The show stars Justin Clark as the Golden Knight/Justin the farm boy and Lila McArthur as Princess Rainna.

The Golden Knight was created by Justin Clark when he was 12 years old in 2011. Justin is a native of Bartow County. He is a student at Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia. Justin is a member of the Art Club and the National Beta Society. He enjoys anime/manga, comic books and art. Justin created all The Golden Knight characters and co-wrote the books with his father, Steven Clark. “The Golden Knight #1: The Boy is Summoned” and “The Golden Knight #2: The Battle for Rone” were illustrated by Taylor Gibson of Hendersonville, North Carolina. “The Golden Knight #3: Rainna Falls” was illustrated by Alison Fuller of Rome, Georgia.

Show is appropriate for ages 5 and up. Following the performance, attendees will have an opportunity to meet the characters and the authors. Photographs are encouraged.
