In what can only be described as the truest definition of “dedication to your craft,” the Pickens County High School Dragons soccer team showed up for a voluntary practice yesterday.

Never mind that there was a single-digit wind chill.

Never mind that school was not in session, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

The voluntary practice was the first day players were allowed to use soccer balls. All “practices” before yesterday were strictly for conditioning.

Over 20 players trudged to PHS for the practice and show off their skills to new head coach Mike Baker. The 2016 roster will be set by the end of the week.
