James William Fox, age 81, of Jasper passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home.  Jim was born April 5, 1935 to Coley and Suzie Wilkins Fox in Cherokee, Alabama.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patsy Fox of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Greg Gaddis; Juanita and Guy Chapman; Tammy and Matthew Morris; grandchildren, Amanda Milam, Crysanna Hicks, Jarrod Chapman, Justin Morris; great-grandchildren, Landon VanSant, Madelyn Hicks, Troy Gaddis; brother, Denton Fox; sisters, Shirley Beck and Frances Gravely.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Childers, Reverend Grant Wade and Reverend Buck Parker officiating.  Interment will follow at Sharptop Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Morris, Greg Gaddis, Guy Chapman, Jarrod Chapman, Justin Morris, and Steve Fox.  Honorary Pallbearers are Landon VanSant and William Cantrell.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home from Monday at 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
