The PHS Dragons varsity basketball team made their way up to LaFayette last night to take on the LaFayette Ramblers in a 6-AAAA region game. LaFayette, came in with a record of 14-1 on the season, & one of the top teams in the region. Pickens, was looking to earn a split with the Ramblers during the season match ups.

In the 2nd, LaFayette, stretched it’s lead out slightly using a 15-9 quarter run, but Pickens still found itself very much in striking distance. The Ramblers, took a 28-17 lead into to break.
The 3rd quarter, was back and forth with both teams seeing the ball go in the hoop. Lafayette, outscored the Dragons 15-12, in a highly contested quarter, to take a lead of 43-29 into the 4th. In the 4th, the Ramblers used a 16-11 quarter run to seal the win, 59-40.
