Isaiah 53:6 “And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Our Blessed Father, the marvels of Your love transcend our understanding. “On Him,” Your only begotten Son, You did place our iniquities. “On Him” was placing the penalty for our sins; the perverseness of our lying, cheating and varied dishonesties, the corruptness of our morals – adultery, lusts, rapes and all types of fornication; the poison of our hatred – jealousy, murder, and injustice to man and the waywardness of our disobedience – rebellion, pride and self-concern. “On Him” every sin of ours was placed. We thank You for such a sin-bearer who in love died for our sin.
We do now confess our sin to You and pray for complete cleansing. How blessed it is to live this day knowing that we have been cleansed as white as snow – through the atonement of Christ.
