Luke 4:24,28,29 “I tell you the truth that no prophet is accepted in his hometown…All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of town, and took him to the brow of the hill…in order to throw him down the cliff.”
Lord Jesus the Christ, You were rejected by those who knew You the best for they said that You could not be the Son of God for You were Joseph’s son and the local carpenter. But we know that Your claims were validated by Your life, death, and resurrection.
We pray today for those of Your followers who have experienced rejection. It is so difficult to be rejected by those we know and love. Some are rejected in the workplace by those who are jealous of their accomplishments. Some are rejected in their families through divorce. The grief of being turned away is so difficult to deal with. Some are even rejected by their churches because of disagreements in biblical interpretations.
Your grace [in] handling Your rejection is the grace that we want in our lives. Help this person who reads this prayer to live today in Your supernatural strength to the praise of Your holy name.
Amen.
