The wrestlers from Pickens High faced a tough night on the mats as they headed north to Gilmer who hosted not only the Dragons, but Flowery Branch and defending 1A State Champions Gordon Lee.Pickens fell short in each team face-off, but one of the highlights was back to back pins by Dragon’s 106 lb. wrestler, Victoria Haughwout.

The team also entered competitors in the Creekview Invitational Tournament over the weekend. Dragons who made the podium as top finishers were as follows:
