Mr. Donnie Junior Chumley, age 53 of Jasper, Georgia died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia following a sudden illness.

Born September 5, 1959 in Pickens County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Garnett Chumley and Lula Adeline Simonds Chumley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Vernon “Bud” Chumley. Mr. Chumley worked in the maintenance department with the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church.
Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 34 YEARS, Sheila Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTERS & SON-IN-LAW, Rachael and Miles Childers of Jasper, Ga.; Mattie Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; SON & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, Jeremy and Lorie Chumley of Dallas, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Stephen Childers and Allie Childers both of Jasper, Ga.; Jacob Chumley, Bryce Chumley and Eli Chumley all of Dallas, Ga.; SISTERS & BROTHERS-IN-LAW, Bernice and Jimmy Fountain of Jasper, Ga.; Vernet and Johnny Jarrett of Tate, Ga.; BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-LAW, Charlie and Sue Chumley of Marble Hill, Ga.; Johnny and Lucy Chumley of Talking Rock, Ga.; Ronnie and Joyce Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; Lawrence and Jan Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; Randy and Becky Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; Patricia Chumley of Jasper, Ga.; Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012 from the Refuge Baptist Church, the Rev. Ricky Jarrett and Rev. Jonathon Jarrett will officiate with the interment to follow in the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday and until the funeral hour on Monday.
