The Jasper RaceTrac opens its new 6,000 sq, ft store today.
The previous smaller store suffered a fire in June 2012. Since this time, RaceTrac has been building a new store. According to RaceTrac Associate Manager of External Communications Amanda Rodriguez, the store is a brand new store design.
“The new store, opening Jan. 31, 2012, will feature 6,000 sq. ft. of retail space, plus several updated features, including: indoor and outdoor seating; 10 Swirl World frozen yogurt flavors with 40+ toppings; a walk-in beer cooler and free wireless internet.,”
Rodriguez said. The store will also offer “Brewed Fresh” 24/7 coffee and over 4,000 retail grocery items.
Following the fire, allegedly started by an electrical malfunction in one of the refrigerator units, RaceTrac moved its convenience store to an empty building near the gas pumps. The gas pumps have been operational since the day following the fire.
