Two arrests were made following a brawl in Talking Rock last week. One man was stabbed and a female was assaulted during the melee.
Thursday evening Pickens deputies responded to 270 Big Ridge Road in reference to a stabbing. Once on scene, deputies ascertained that Robby Hales had been stabbed three times, in the hand, the leg and the back. In addition, Nancy Hales, Robby’s mother, had been struck in the head. The victims’ have been released from the hospital at this time.
The fight began when Larry Duvall entered Ms. Hales yard and began a verbal altercation for unknown reasons. Duvall then picked up a wagon and struck Ms. Hales in the face and the back of her head. At that point Robby Hales approached and another altercation between the two males started. During the scuffle, Loraine Davis entered the picture, stabbing Mr. Hales during his involvement with Duvall. It was reported she then ran down the street but apparently returned to the scene sometime later.
One witness assisted Mr. Hales by helping him get away from the immediate area. Several witnesses collaborated the story as reported to deputies.
Davis was arrested on scene for aggravated assault and is currently out on $10,000 bond. Duvall was charged with public drunkenness, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault as well as booked on simple battery stemming from an outstanding warrant.
Further information will be obtained from PSO as released.
