Early Voting Has Begun in Pickens County for the May 20th Primary

Early voting started this morning in Pickens County for the May 20 primaries. If one is a registered voter they can cast their ballots at the Pickens County Elections Office at 83 Pioneer Road in Jasper.Voting can be accomplished from now through May 16 for registered voters with photo identification. The last day for registering to vote was April 21. If you’re unsure if you’re registered, you can call the office to verify you are listed at 706-253-8781.

Hours for voting are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with one Saturday vote being held May 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please exercise your right to vote and make your voice heard.

Bob Lewis cast the first vote in the primaries at 8 a.m. this morning. His wife, Delane Lewis, is on the ballot for School Board Post 5 so at 8 a.m., she led the field.
