Sam Nunn Campaigns for Michelle in Ellijay, Would Sam Nunn Fit In?

Politics

Would Sam Nunn fit in today’s Democrat party? That is one of the questions we asked former Georgia US Senator Sam Nunn today during his visit to Ellijay this morning.
(Full video of FYN’s exclusive interview with Sam Nunn and Nunn’s comments to supporters is posted below this article.)

Nunn served the people of Georgia as Senator from 1972-1996. He made a breakfast campaign stop in Ellijay this morning. Nunn spent about 30 minutes telling the Democratic faithful why his daughter Michelle Nunn should replace the retiring Saxby Chambliss and why her opponent David Perdue should not.

Senator Nunn told the group that this is a close race and voter turnout was important. He urged them to make calls. Nunn said that Perdue wanted to go to Washington to prosecute the President and Michelle would go and be a problem solver. We need to restore the

“center”

in Washington.

With the Republicans and the Perdue campaign saying over and over

“a vote for Michelle Nunn is a vote for Harry Reid”

the Nunn campaign has come up with a response. Sam Nunn said that Harry Reid called Michelle a week before she announced and asked her not to run. Reid told her that if she ran he may support someone against her. Michelle told him respectfully, no, she planned to run. Sen. Nunn said Michelle already knows how to tell Harry Reid no.

FYN got an opportunity to sit down with Senator Nunn and ask him questions about amnesty, outsourcing, Obama Care and would Sam Nunn fit into today’s Democrat party. A must watch interview.
