Rev. Johnny W. Fortner age 81 formerly of Talking Rock passed away Friday Nov. 28, 2014 at the Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice in Marietta, GA.He was a lifetime member of Corinth Church of God and currant pastor. The older and more disabled he became he wanted to do more for God. He will long be remembered for his faithfulness to God, his family and the church.

Visitation will begin Saturday Nov. 29th at 11:30 AM until 10PM, Sunday Nov. 30th. from 8 AM until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be at 1 PM in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kelly and Rev. Rex Mashburn officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasnat Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill, TN.

Rev. Fortner is survived by his son & daughter-in-law: William & Charlotte Fortner – Jasper, son: Gary Fortner – Dalton, son: Timothy Fortner – Talking Rock, daughter:Linda Gail Cox – Talking Rock,daughter: Tammy Fortner – Winder, Ga., daughter: Amberely Dawn and spouse Shelly Jackson – Dallas, Ga., sister: Vinnie Wisener – Adairsville, Ga.grandchildren: Eric Fortner, Travis Stone, Jeremiah Stone, Tonia Tinsley,Courtney Clark, Nicole Taylor, Shana Kelley, Donna Barrett, William Fortner, Joe Gary, Bror Soderlind, great grandchildren: Brannon Fortner, Miley Fortner, Kaitlyn Howard, Kayla Howard, Shaylee Stone, Mollie Stone, Mixie Stone, Anslee Stone, Brady Stone, Bree Stone, Destiny Long, Skyy Kelley, Heaven Kelly, Rayne Kelly, Garrett, Brown, Hannah Barrett,, great great grandchild: Kyngston Mitchell.

He is preceeded in death by his Wife: Betty Ann Fortner,father: William Orville Fortner, Mother: Ethel Orton Fortner,grandfather: Miles Devareaux Orton, grandmother: Betty Ann Stiles Ortonand sister: Helen Hyde.

Pall Bearers are Eric Fortner, Travis Stone, Jeremiah Stone, Steve Hill, Tony Trippe, Ronald Clayton, Howie Parks and Shane Page.
