Mr. Jimmy Roper age 67 of Ball Ground passed away on Friday March 27, 2015 at the Northside Hospital Cherokee.Mr. Roper was born on March 3, 1948 in Pickens County. He worked as a mill operator at Georgia Marble. He was preceded in death by his Father, Carl Ralph Roper, and Brother Ricky Roper.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Olene Collis Roper, Ball Ground, Sons: Steven Curtis Roper and his Fiance Amy, Ball Ground, Brian Carl Roper, Panama City Beach, Florida, Mother, Walterine Roper, Ball Ground, Grandchildren, Shalee Roper, Japser, Mason Roper, Canton, Dalton Roper, Ball Ground, Carlee and Bralee Roper, Jasper, Sister-in-law, Maxine Roper, Ball Ground, Nephew & Niece, Kevin & Leslie Roper, Niece & Nephew, Trina & Brent Chastain, Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law; Sammy & Tammie Collis, Danny & Dora Collis, Gary Collis, and Willie & Faye Collis, Barbara & Eugene Wright, Hazel & James Wofford, and Carolyn & John McGarty, Several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Monday March 30, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Wade, Rev. Horace Biddy, Rev. Danny Collis, and Rev. Gerald Sinard officiating. The interment will follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park.

The following will serve as pallbearers, Michael Boling, Randy Biddy, Robert Reece, Jerry Walker, Billy Roper, and Willis T. Sperin.

The family will be receiving friends after 5 PM Saturday, all day Sunday, and Monday until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
