Plans are now being finalized for the 2012 Miss Georgia Marble that is to be presented Saturday, September 8, 2012 and begins at 12:00 noon. . There will be a rehearsal and “late Registration” Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Pickens Chamber of Commerce Building beginning at 6:30 pm. So, for those that do not make the early entry deadline, you can register that Wednesday night and will be the last opportunity to sign up. Held the first full weekend of October in beautiful Jasper, Georgia, the entire Marble Valley of Pickens County celebrates the history of Georgia Marble. The Georgia Marble Festival is proud to be the new home of the “Georgia State Bluegrass Championship.”

Come enjoy the fun on July 4th in downtown Jasper.
The parade with the theme "United We Stand", sponsored by the Jasper Lion's Club will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church and end at Lee Newton Park.
The spectacular fireworks will begin at dark in downtown Jasper.
