The Pickens High School Dragons football team traveled to LaFayette High School to take on the Ramblers. This game was the first road game for Pickens since September 19th. It was also be the first meeting between the two teams. LaFayette's Homecoming would serve as the backdrop for this game; however, the celebration was short lived as the Dragons' offense roasted the Ramblers to the tune of 69 points, en route Pickens picking up the 69-34 win.
Yes, it’s hard to believe, but another Delayed Harvest (DH) season is here upon us. Most of the DH waters are marginal at best. This means that the trout will more than likely not survive during the warmer water of summer months. This allows many anglers to practice catch and release during the DH season, and others to harvest these fish once the DH season ends. It is a win-win situation for many anglers!

The Picken High School Dragons football team hosted the Raiders of Southeast Whitfield at Dragon Stadium. Coming into this ball game, the Dragons was 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the region while the Raiders was a perfect 5-0 and 2-0 in region play. The Dragons, coming off of a big home win against Northwest Whitfield, looked to continue that momentum and drop the Raiders from the ranks of the unbeaten. The game was the Homecoming at PHS which would only add to the excitement of the night. The Dragons' offense scorched the Raiders to the tune of 62 points as Pickens picked up the 62-40 win over SEW.
