Mrs. Marlene Dean Jones, age 75 of Jasper, Georgia died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born December 1, 1937 in Pickens County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Dean and Eunice Brock Dean. She was preceded in death by Grandsons, Connor & Dillon Jones. Mrs. Jones worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the Pickens County Board of Education and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include, her Husband of 56 years, Max Jones of Jasper, Ga.; Daughter & Son–In-Law, Maxie and Joe Van Sant of Jasper, Ga.; Son David Jones of Jasper, Ga.; Sons & Daughters-In-Law, Keith and Sondra Jones of Jasper, and Doug and Melissa Jones of Jasper, Ga. ; Brother, Gary Dean of Fayetteville, Ga.; and Nephew, Mark and Kathy Dean of Peachtree City, Ga. 10 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and many other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from the Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. James Thompson, Rev. Buddy Roper, and Rev. Robert Allen will officiate with the interment to follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday from 2 until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.
