The Pickens High School Dragons baseball team wrapped up a three game series with the Knights of River Ridge. Despite the series win, the Dragons will not be at the Region “Round Table” as Pickens missed out on making the Region Tournament by one game, finishing fourth in sub region play at 5-7. The Pickens High School Dragons baseball team hosted region rival, Ridgeland. Though the Panthers put Pickens in a pickle early, the Dragons heated up in the bottom of the seventh. Erasing a four run deficit, Pickens picked up the win when Taylor Logan bases loaded, base clearing standing double secured the 9-8 victory. [Read more »]
