The Pickens High School Dragons baseball team hosted region rival, Ridgeland. Though the Panthers put Pickens in a pickle early, the Dragons heated up in the bottom of the seventh. Erasing a four run deficit, Pickens picked up the win when Taylor Logan bases loaded, base clearing standing double secured the 9-8 victory. [Read more »]

Among the Pickens players selected on the first team were Tanner Brumby at quarterback (Brumby was also selected as the special teams player of the year for his excellent punting skills) and Shannon Brooks at running back.
