Mr. Donald (Digger) Milton Williams, age 50, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his residence in Jasper.

Mr. Williams is survived by his Father: Alex Williams of Jasper; Mother: Elizabeth Armstrong of Ball Ground; Sister and Brother-in-law: Adonna and Gary Walker of Ball Ground. Sister: Marian McArthur of Jasper. Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home. David Shivington will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Cody Walker, Clate McArthur, David Lawson, Brett Mullins, Matthew Mullins, Tommy Padgett and Hagen Mullins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scottie Weaver and William Mullins.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Escorted by Old Souls Brotherhood.

The Family will accept flowers but prefer donations be made to Cagle Funeral Home to help with Funeral Expenses.

Mrs. Edna Grace Duckett, age 87, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at her residence in Nelson.

Mrs. Duckett is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Carl & Lisa Duckett of Jasper; Terry & Lynn Duckett of Marble Hill; and Richard & Jenny Duckett of Nelson. Daughters: Gail Schien of Marble Hill; Sharon Smith of Marble Hill and Brenda Duckett of Marble Hill. Brother: Charlie Bozeman of Florida. Sisters: Mildred Wilson of Jasper and Carol Henson of Canton. Sister-in-Law: Mabel Bozeman. Also surviving 26 Grandchildren; 43 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by husband: Luke Duckett. Son: Greg Duckett. Mother & Father: Turner & Lora Bozeman.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Sunday, February 17, 2016 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM and Monday, February 18, from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers: Chris Schien, Jeff Bell, Casey Duckett, Gabe Duckett, Eric Duckett and Jesse Duckett. Honorary Pallbearers: Tyler Weaver, Dan Wilson, Jermiah Beck and Zac Duncan

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Roy Blackwell and Rev. Bruce Weeks will be officiating.

Interment will be in the Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia Alice Chastain, age 92, of Hinton Community passed away at her residence February 14, 2019.

Mrs. Chastain is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Virgil & Margaret Chastain of the Hinton Community and Johnny & Anita Chastain of Hinton Community. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Patricia & Chris Huston of Hinton Community. Sister: Cleo Patterson of Calhoun. Also surviving are Six Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Ulyess Chastain.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Saturday, February 16, from 8:00 AM until the Funeral Hour.

Pallbearers: Mitchell Patterson, Ricky Patterson, Mark Chastain, Matt Chastain, Richard Chastain, Ronald Lee Evans, Larry Buttrum, Ray Buttrum, Chris Chastain and Keith Chastain. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Chastain.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Hinton Community Cemetery.

Mr. Kenneth Lee Adams, Sr., age 78, of Jasper passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 At Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Mr. Adams is survived by his loving wife of 58 Years – Kathleen Ann Adams of Jasper, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Kenneth L. Adams, Jr & Cathy of Jasper; David W. & Cheryl Adams of Covington, GA; Son: Kris D. Adams of Griffin, GA. Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Sharon A. & Richard York of Plymouth, WI; Darlene M. and Ronald Petersen of Greensboro, GA; Patricia L. & Gregory Daniel of Jasper. Brothers: Dick Adams of Willard, OH; Hobert Adams of Willard, OH; Brother & Sister-in-Law:Fred & Sandra Capelle of New London, OH. Sisters: Helen Banworth of Willard, OH; Carol & Paul Boring of Gainesville, GA; Susie Peck of Chillicothe, OH; Linda Sly of Fairborn, OH. Uncle: George W. Adams of Plymouth, OH. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Roberts Adams (Capelle, Smith), father Stanley J. Adams; Sister: Louella & Teddy Walker and Dorothy George; Brothers: William and Stanley Adams and Granddaughter: Robbyn Leanne Wood.

He proudly served his country for 12 years in the USAF, where his military career took him to Japan, France, Vietnam and stateside bases. He was later involved in sales and management positions in the corporate world and retired after owning and operating an insurance agency as well as a retail business. He had a passion and interest throughout his life in owning several motorcycles, airplanes and RV’s, which led to further travels in the US and for 18 years as a member with RV Volunteers US MAPS with the Assembly’s of God. He had a passion for flying that began at a very young age, resulting in his sons loving to fly.

He earned his BA degree in theology at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and was a licensed minister in the GA and Southern Missouri district of the Assemblies of God.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2019 and continue until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers: Andy Trent, Jesse Adams, Colin Adams, Kenneth Adams III, Andrew Adams II and Kyle Petersen

Graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Rusty Sharp, officiating.

Ms. Dixon is survived by her Brother & Sister-in-Law: Gary & Camille Hammond of Talking Rock. Also long time Companion: Roger Kisor of Jasper.

Denise was preceded in death by Parents: Huel & Dovie Hammond; Brother: Ronald Wayne Hammond.

There will be no Visitation or Funeral Services at this time.

She is survived by her husband, Vance McMullen of Jasper; her daughter, Dianne McMullen of Jasper; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Fellowship Presbyterian Church of Jasper with Reverend Ben Laughlin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellow Presbyterian Church of Jasper or Georgia Mountains Hospice.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Keshia and Steven Mata of Key West, Florida, Amber Weaver of Talking Rock; Maranda Weaver of Talking Rock, Crysta and Nick Knowles of Jasper; sister, Jessica Reece of Jasper; brother, Ronnie Bruce of Ellijay; grandchildren, Kiera Remlinger, Kadyn Remlinger, and Marshall Knowles. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Bruce, Michael Weaver, and Richard Weaver.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Ruth Marie Wall, age 89, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Pruitt Health Care in Jasper. She was born September 7, 1929 to George and Flora Masten in Elkin, North Carolina.

Ruth taught English and Latin in North Carolina for 36 years. Following the death of her husband Allan in 1991, she made Jasper her home. Ruth soon became active with numerous community organizations, among them Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary, Retired Teachers, and the Historical Society. She was recognized as Pickens County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 2013, for which she was immensely proud.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alanna and Roy Kulland of Spring, Texas; granddaughter, Kirsten Kulland of Austin, Texas; grandson, Gage and Brittany Kulland of Spokane, Washington; great-granddaughters, Georgiana Kulland and Josephine Kulland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Wall and her parents, George and Flora Masten.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 at Fellowship Presbyterian Church of Jasper with Ben Laughlin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Mountainside Cardiac Center or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
