The Pickens High School Dragonettes sports programs had three different young ladies sign college scholarships to extend their playing careers on the collegiate level. Paula Pickett signed a softball scholarship to play for Gordon College. Haley Kalson signed a basketball scholarship to play for Gadsden State College, and Makayla Payne signed a basketball scholarship to play for Maryville College. (more…)
This afternoon, the Dragonettes varsity basketball team traveled to Gainesville to take on the Lady War Eagles of Chestatee in the first round of the state tournament. The winner found itself in the sweet sixteen and advance to play Americus-Sumter. (more…)
Yesterday, the Dragonettes varsity basketball team made the trip up to Southeast Whitfield one more time to take on the Lady Generals of Heritage in the 7AAAA Region Tournament Girls Consolation Game to determine the region’s third seed. Earlier this afternoon, the Dragonettes varsity basketball team traveled to Southeast Whitfield High School to take on the 2nd seeded Lady Bruins of Northwest Whitfield in the Semi-Finals of the 7AAAA Region Tournament. Tonight, the Dragonettes varsity basketball team made the long trip up to Ridgeland High School to take on the Lady Panthers. A win and a Heritage loss, meant a coin flip later in the evening determined if the Nettes were the third or fourth seed in next weeks region tournament. (more…)

Yesterday, the Dragonettes varsity basketball team traveled up to Tunnel Hill to take on the region leading Lady Bruins of Northwest Whitfield. Coming into the ball game, the Lady Bruins were tied atop the standings with the Lady Cats of Gilmer while Pickens came in tied for third with Heritage. (more…)
Friday, the Dragonettes made the trip up 515 to take on the Lady Cats of Gilmer High School in a big 7AAAA region matchup. Pickens, came into the ball game third in the region standings while Gilmer came in tied with Northwest Whitfield at the top of the standings. (more…)

Last Saturday, the Nettes varsity basketball team traveled to Blue Ridge to take on the Lady Rebels of Fannin in non region action.
