Sharptop Arts Association is calling all artists and hobbyists to participate in a Birdhouse Competition in preparation for its second annual “The Feathered Event” to be held Friday, April 15 from 5 to 9 pm at Burnt Mountain Trading Co.
Applications must be in or postmarked by March 1. Entry forms for the competition ($5 per entry) are available online on the Sharptop Arts Association website, www.sharptopartsassociation.com, and Burnt Mountain Trading Company (BMTC) website, www.burntmountaintrading.com. Or, pick one up at either location.
The categories are: non-functional, functional, fine art, and yard art. Organizers are allowing the creative muse to flow freely – so don’t worry about the category until you submit your entries for judging. Entries must be submitted on or before March 20th by 5pm at Burnt Mountain Trading Company. Participants can submit up to three bird houses in each category. Size is not to exceed two-feet by two-feet.
Need Help? George the Carpenter is on hand at BMTC to offer assistance in building your birdhouse or yard art structure. His classes are limited to three students with a fee of $29 (not including materials). Call BMTC at 706-253-6955 for an appointment with George or to speak with Royce about this event.
