Heritage Generals Goes “Ham” On Pickens Dragons

The Pickens High School Dragons baseball team’s losing streak reach two games as the Generals of Heritage High School lambasted the Dragons 14-2 on the Dragons’ home field a few days after the Dragons lost 4-2 to the Gilmer High School Bobcats.The Generals fired the first shot in the first inning and never looked back. Heritage scored five more runs in the third inning as they bombarded starting pitcher Aaron Eubanks, who was retired after three innings pitched. He faced 18 batters and finished with an ERA of 9.00.

Relievers Dillon Tregor, and Conner North did not fair much better, as they combined to face 26 batters and give up 8 runs.

The difference in the game came down to errors as the Generals only had one more hit than the Dragons (8-7) but the Dragons committed seven errors while the Generals committed none.

The Dragons two run came one at a time, in the fourth and fifth innings respectively. Heritage continued to hound the Dragons, as they piled on runs like a fat guy’s plate at the buffet line. Heritage scored five runs in the seventh and final inning.
