Ms. Lillian Young Martin, age 83, of Talking Rock, Georgia, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at her residence following a period of declining health.Born June 29, 1927 in Pickens County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Eulis Young and Amanda Mulkey Young. She was also preceded in death by a son, Herman Martin and a sister, Gladys West. Ms. Martin was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Daughter, Connie M. Martin of Talking Rock, Ga.; Grandsons: Tony Martin of Talking Rock, Ga. and Tim Martin of the Hinton Community; Great-grandchildren: Nathan Martin, Chris Martin, Josh Martin, Makayla Martin, John Martin, Thomas Martin, Kaitlin Martin and Alexis Lillian Martin; Sister& Brother-in-law, Pauline and Max Free of Jasper, Ga.; Dear Niece, Doris Martin. Other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Ludville Church of God. Rev. Jerrold Young and Rev. Kenneth Burton will officiate, with the interment to follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011.
