Roper Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Billy E. Ledford, age 76, of Jasper,Ga. who passed away July 9, 2011 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.Mr. Ledford remains at Roper Funeral Home where the family will be receiving friends Monday from 5-9 PM.
The funeral service will be 11:30 AM Tuesday at the Trinity Tabernacle with Rev. Jeff Clark, Rev. Coy Barker and Rev. Scott Reece officiating. Entombment will follow at Lake Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Ledford will lie in state at the church from 9 AM until the funeral hour.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Ledford, Jasper, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean & Clifford Cearley, Young Harris, Ga., Lucille & Raymond Herrin, West Green, Ga., Ruth Ann Ford, Murphy, N.C., Sue & Jerry Decker, Murphy, Charlotte & Tony Anderson, Murphy; brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard & Deb Ledford, Ducktown, Tn., Hoyt & Blanche Ledford, Murphy, Steve & Debbie Ledford, Murphy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family request in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary.
