Mr. Magnus Luther Ramey, Jr. age 90, of Jasper, Georgia died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his residence, following a period of declining health.Born January 10, 1921 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Magnus Luther Ramey, Sr. and Vera Cox Ramey. Mr. Ramey had worked as a machinist with Lockheed and was a member of the King Springs Baptist Church in Smyrna, Georgia.
Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 60 YEARS, Catherine Ramey, of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER & SON-IN-LAW, Carol and Tracy Stancil, of Jasper, Ga.; GRANDDAUGHTER & SPOUSE, Codi and Steven Pierce, of Ball Ground, Ga.; GRANDSON, Dylan Stancil, of Jasper, Ga.; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011, from the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. David T. LeGrand will officiate, with the interment to follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
