Dragonettes Lack Fire in Gilmer

The Pickens High School Dragonettes varsity volleyball team traveled to Gilmer High School and fell to the home team Lady Bobcats. The home team swept the first three out of five games, winning 25-18, 25-16, and 25-16.The Dragonettes fire was simply no match for the Lady Bobcats’ killer claws, as Gilmer never trailed in any of the contests. The Lady Bobcats jumped on the Dragonettes early and often, spurred on by a boisterous home crowd that featured several students in face paint.

Despite numerous Kills, and a few Aces, by Mackenzie Moore, (Captain) Emma Fox, and Tracy Dinsmore, the Dragonettes could not overcome the buzz saw that was the Lady Bobcats.
