Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Bell, age 61 of Talking Rock, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 1, 2011 after a year-long battle with cancer. She was a founding member of the Jasper Farmers Market and a member of the Pickens County Master Gardeners. She was fondly referred to as the “Mother of the Market” in the Jasper community.
She is survived by her Husband: Herman “Junior” Bell of Talking Rock; Son and Daughter-In-Law: David and Renee Bell and their children Megan, Alexis and Emma, all of Alexandria, AL; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Matthew and Tara Bell and their children Kaitlyn and Gracie, all of Loganville; Brother: Steven Lewis of Decatur; Sister: Janie Lewis of Twisp, WA. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her Parents: Bob and Peggy Lewis of Jasper.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 2PM on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home for Family and Friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Family is asking that Donations be made in Kathy’s name to the American Cancer Society or to the Pickens County Master Gardeners.
