The Pickens Dragons and Dragonettes faced off with the Ringgold Tigers and Lady Tigers in two intriguing games on Tuesday.
The first game of the day, featuring the Dragonettes and the Lady Tigers, saw Pickens start the game firing on all cylinders and never look back. The Dragonettes’ defense was stellar, holding Ringgold to just six points in the second half en route to a dominating 75-23 victory.
MaKenzie Moore led Pickens in scoring with thirteen points. Sarah Smith led the Dragonettes in rebounds with five.
Scoring for Pickens was very exclusive in this matchup, as only three players put points up on the board: Sam Crawford with a team-leading twenty-one, Wesley Easterwood with sixteen in his first game of the season, and Spencer Jones with ten. Crawford and Easterwood tied in rebounds with seven each.
The Dragons and the Dragonettes will stay home for their next games, as they take on North Forsyth on Saturday.
