Ruby Shelia Stephens : Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Green Stephens, age 71, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia, following a period of declining health.

Born February 2, 1940 in Dahlonega, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Green, Sr. and Annie Belle Jackson Stephens. Mrs. Stephens had worked as a sander with Georgia Marble and was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include – DAUGHTERS & SONS-IN-LAW, Sharon and Jerome Benson, of Tate, Ga.; Julia and Eddie Story, of Marietta, Ga.; Linda Durham, of Austell, Ga.; Janet Wotring, of Jasper, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW, Bobby and Carla Stephens, of Marble Hill, Ga.; Cecil and Donyell Stephens, of Nelson, Ga.; Willie and Tiffany Stephens, of Tate, Ga.; Anthony Stephens, of Tate, Ga.; 26 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren; BROTHERS, Carl Green, Jr., of Knoxville, Tenn.; Bill Green, of Canton, Ga.; Roger Green, of Tate, Ga.; Allen Green, of Tate, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2011, at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, with the remains placed in state at the Church at 1:00 p.m., the Rev. Leland Jones will officiate, with the interment to follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. A Wake Service will be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday Evening. The Family request no viewing or visitation on Saturday (Christmas Eve) or Sunday (Christmas Day).
