Lanier Poole : Obituary

Mr. Lanier Poole, age 67, of Jasper, Georgia, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, following a brief illness.

Born August 21, 1944 in Gilmer County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Dolphus S. and Rora Mae Moss Poole. He was also preceded in death by Brothers, Leo Poole and Bob Poole. Lanier had last worked at Royston and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include HIS WIFE, Sherry W. Poole, of Jasper, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW, Jody and Katie Poole, of Jasper, Ga.; Brian and Candace Poole, of Talking Rock, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Jordan Poole, Logan Poole and Megan Poole, all of Jasper, Ga.; SISTERS & BROTHERS-IN-LAW, Lois Poole, of Jasper, Ga.; Cora Belle Chastain, of Gainesville, Ga.; Betty and Ray Ferrell, of Jasper, Ga.; Hazel and Wallace Mullinax, of Jasper, Ga.; BROTHER, Charles B. Poole, of Jasper, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Jess Posey and Rev. Tim Hyde will officiate with the interment to follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday and until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
