Mrs. Carol Joyce Hawk, age 73, of Jasper, Georgia and formerly of Albany, Georgia died Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia, following a period of declining health.
Born September 23, 1938 in Jamestown, New York, she was the daughter of the late William John Halliday and Katherine Harrick Halliday and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Claude William Hawk who passed away in October of 2011 and a grandson, Brandon Hawk. Mrs. Hawk was a homemaker and was a charter member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.
Survivors include, DAUGHTER, Brenda K. Putnam, of Acworth, Ga.; SON, William Scott Hawk, of Wetumpka, Ala.; GRANDCHILDREN, Amanda Ledford, of Jasper, Ga.; Bryan Hawk, of Cedar Bluff, Ala.; Craig Wynn, of Decatur, Ala.; BROTHERS, Jack Halliday, of Monroe, Ga.; and Robert Halliday, of Athens, Ga.; Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Liberty Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, with the remains placed in state at the church at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Charlie Rouse will officiate with the interment to follow in the Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia.
