Shirley Warren : Obituary

Ms. Shirley Rebecca Warren, age 76 of Jasper, Georgia died Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia following a period of declining health.

Born July 8, 1935 in Fannin County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. Warren and Lee Etta Deaver Warren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa (Pam) Johnson. Ms. Warren had worked as the M.A.T.S. coordinator for Pickens County and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church
in Blairsville, Georgia.

Survivors include, DAUGHTER, Sandy Mayfield, of Jasper, Ga.; SON & DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, Jack and Stephanie Owenby, of Jasper, Ga.; 5 GRANDCHILDREN and 7 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; SISTER & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Shelbia and Sam Bennett, of Canton, Ga.; BROTHER & SISTER-IN-LAW, Neal and Judy Warren, of Woodstock, Ga.; Three Nieces, 2 Nephews, Several Great Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at the
Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Gene Tatum will officiate, with the interment to follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are: Mr. Jason Mayfield, Mr. Matthew Johnson, Mr. Alan Owenby, Mr. Steve Stanley, Mr. Sammy Bennett and Mr. Joe Warren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, Georgia 30143.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, all day on Sunday and until the funeral hour on Monday.
