Roper Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Jewel Waters Smith age 93 of Jasper, formerly of Ellijay passed away April 24, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Smith, Sons; Hank Smith, Norman Smith, and Glenn Smith.
She remains at Roper Funeral Home where the family will be receiving friends from 4-9 P.M. on Saturday.
Funeral Service will be 3 P.M. Sunday at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. The interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her Daughters & Sons-in-law, Janelle & John Phillips, Alabama, Louise Smith, Jasper, Hazel Smith, Jasper, Brenda & George Weaver, Jasper, Son, Junior Smith, Ellijay, Daughters-in-law, Bonnie Smith, Talking Rock, and Doris Smith, Jasper, Sister, Violet Adams, Calhoun, Brothers, Winston Waters, Calhoun, and J V Waters, 14 Grandchildren, & 15 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
