Mrs. Irma Jean MacArthur, age 81, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Tranquility Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell, Georgia following a period of declining health.
Born on April September 14, 1930 in Cherokee County, Georgia, to the late Truman and Magnolia Mills, Mrs. MacArthur worked as a homemaker. Mrs. MacArthur was also a member of the Talking Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Mr. A.G. MacArthur, Jr.
She is survived by her Sons and Daughter-In-Law, Mike and Shelia MacArthur, of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Steve MacArthur, of Jasper, Georgia, Grandson and Spouse, Derek and Kelly MacArthur, of Marietta, Georgia, Great-Grandchildren, Grant and Gracie MacArthur, Brother and Sister-In-Law, Bud and Ann Mills, of Jasper, Georgia, and Sister and Brother-In-Law, Betty and Thomas Allgood, of Dalton, Georgia. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2PM Saturday, June 2, 2012 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Roper, Rev. Gene Childers, and Rev. Edwin Weaver officiating. The interment will follow at the Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2012 after 6 PM, all day Friday, and until the funeral hour Saturday.
