Dr. Sharon Reynolds Jernigan : Obituary

Dr. Sharon Reynolds Jernigan, age 65, of Big Canoe, Georgia died Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

Born April 29, 1947 in Grand Prairie, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Angie Cooper Reynolds. Ms. Reynolds had received her doctorate degree in Education and had taught school in Texas and in Cobb County, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sue Reynolds.

Survivors include, niece; Tracy Kiteya-Vasque, of Denver, Colorado, aunts and uncles; Rusty and Mary Reynolds, of Garland, Texas, Doyle and Celia Taylor of Gilmer, Texas, cousins; Lisa and Casey Barnes of Grand Prairie, Texas and Sherry and Clay McKenzie of Aledo, Texas. She is also survived by her beloved animals, Abigail, Rochambeau and Mosby.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Big Canoe Chapel, with the remains placed in state at Big Canoe Chapel for Viewing and Visitation at 1:00 p.m. The interment will follow in the Big Canoe Cemetery. A reception will follow the services at 4:00 p.m.
