Jere Mell Blanton : Obituary

Mr. Jere Mell “Mousey” Blanton, age 68, of Canton, Georgia died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the residence of his niece, Sheree Len Kincaid, following a period of declining health.

Born December 2, 1943 in Cherokee County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Homer Alexander Blanton and Travis Miriam Gramling Blanton. Mr. Blanton was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam, a carpenter having worked with Diversified Construction Company and was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include, SISTERS & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Travis and Clyde Morris of Canton, Ga.; Sonja Whitley of Holly Springs, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives also survive

Funeral Services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Floyd Tenny will officiate with cremation to follow the services.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. on Monday and until the funeral hour on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Roper Funeral Home in memory of Jere Mell “Mousey” Blanton to help with final expenses.
