Helen Maxine Shipp : Obituary

Mrs. Helen Maxine Shipp, age 83, of Canton, Georgia died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

The body remains at Roper Funeral Home where the family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and until the funeral hour on Wednesday.

Born March 7, 1929 in Pickens County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Walter Clarence Denson and Mary Jewel Rutledge Denson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shipp. Mrs. Shipp had worked as a machine operator at the Canton Cotton Mill.

Survivors include, HER SISTER, Thelma Reeves of Canton, Ga.; NIECES & NEPHEWS, W.S. Denson, Jr., Chris Denson, Ronnie Denson, Gene Denson, Diane Ratcliff, Christine Poole, Janet Blackwell and Carolyn Byess. Other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Bethany Baptist Church, the Rev. Charlie Buchanan and Rev. Steve Jones will officiate with the interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
