Sylvia Cloer Hasty : Obituary

Mrs. Sylvia Cloer Hasty, age 70, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia following a sudden illness.

Born December 19, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Delma Hoyt Cloer and Minnie Emeline Free Cloer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lewis Hasty and an infant son, Cary Lewis Hasty and a brother, Lamar Cloer. Mrs. Hasty had worked as a secretary with the Cobb County Board of Education and had worked at WalMart. She was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church.

Survivors include, DAUGHTER, Wendy Cantrell of Jasper, Ga.; SONS & DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW, Barry and Melinda Hasty of Acworth, Ga.; Chad and Christy Hasty of Columbus, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Elizabeth Santiago, Brett Hasty, Brittany Hasty, Jessica Hasty and Graham Hasty; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Caulin Turner, Kaitlyn Turner, Sara Santiago, Tristan Santiago and Bailee Hasty; SISTER & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Sandra and Earl Grant of Port Isabelle, Texas Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Jasper United Methodist Church, the Rev. Chip Wilson will officiate with the interment to follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. on Monday and until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
