Mr. Roy Baxter Thomason, age 84, of Talking Rock, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born on August 14, 1928 in Jasper, Georgia to the late Arthur Lee Thomason and Lela Townsend Thomason, Mr. Thomason worked for himself in the septic tank business. Mr. Thomason was also a member of County Line Baptist Church.
He is survived by his Wife, Evelyn Ingram Thomason, Son, Andy Thomason, Daughter and Son-In-Law, Andra and Shane Callahan, Brother and Sister-In-Law, John and Corene Thomason, Sisters and Brothers-In-Law, Sara Lee and George O’Shields, Jean and Carl Junior Stancil, and Brenda and Bobby Quick, Brother-In-Law, Leon Free, Grandchildren, Natasha and Jeffery Currie, Jessica Childers, and Cynthia Childers, Great-Grandchildren, Skyler and Evan Currie. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his Sister, Dorothy Free and Great-Grandchild, Tyler Currie.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, November 11, 2012 from County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Banks and Rev. Jess Posey will be officiating with the interment to follow at the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 10 AM-10 PM.
