Pickens Patrons Punch for Purchases: Black Eye on “Black Friday”

The annual “Black Friday” sales event began at exactly 8pm Thursday at the Wal-mart in Jasper. Shoppers were in a ferocious frenzy to take advantage of the “Black Friday Deals.” A mere few hours after many had eaten and given thanks, people pushed and shoved each other in pursuit of purchases.One young man, Dustin Lovell, was assaulted while obtaining a video game. He was punched in the face. The self-described
“Black Friday” rookie described the aforementioned frenzy thusly,

“It’s crazy.”

He also admitted that the punch to the face was worth it.
