Mrs. Roberta “Bobbie” York, age 75 of Jasper, Georgia died Thursday December 20, 2012, at her residence, following a period of declining health.
Born Monday, June 28, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. Brown and Geraldine Demsey Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William V. York, Sr., and her son, Arthur M. Polk, III. Mrs. York was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Tabernacle Church in Jasper.
Survivors include, DAUGHTERS & HUSBANDS, Barbara Polk Farmer and John Timothy Farmer of Jasper, Ga.; Melody Haas and Gary Haas of Quarryville, Pa.; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, Ellen Cohen of Chalfont, Pa.; STEP-SONS AND SPOUSE, William V. York and wife Bonnie of Riverside, CA; Steven York of Blue Ball, Pa.; STEP-DAUGHTERS, Sue Schnader, of New Holland, Pa.; and Linda Holmes of Abbington, Va.; 24 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and Other Relatives also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Trinity Tabernacle Church in Jasper, Georgia, Rev. Ken Horton and Rev. Richard Kitchens will officiate with the interment to follow later in the Rothsville Cemetery in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
The family will receive friends at the Roper Funeral Home on Thursday, December 20, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Trinity Tabernacle Church, Building Fund, 239 Allred Mill Rd., Jasper, Georgia 30143.
