Mrs. Geneva Helen Evans, 89 of Jasper, Georgia died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Rock Creek Manor in Jasper, Georgia.
She was born Tuesday, November 27, 1923 in Jasper, Georgia to the late Anderson Pettitt and Eula Padgett Pettitt.
She was a member of Jasper First Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Vince Evans of Jasper, GA, daughter, Judy Soloman of Marietta, GA; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Jasper First Baptist Church with the Dr. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Jasper City Cemetery. Mrs. Evans will lie in state from 10:00AM to 11:00PM at the First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Jasper City Cemetery, c/o Elizabeth Prather.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Roper Funeral Home.
