Mr. Max Wood, age 83, of Tate, GA, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Wildwood Healthcare Center Nursing Home in Talking Rock, GA. He was a member of the Cool Springs Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Cicero and Annie Roland Wood, Brothers, Bill & Ray Wood.
He is survived by his wife; Edna Wood, Two Daughters and Sons-in-law: Carolyn & Mack Hipp, Ellijay, GA
Barbara & Mike Woodall, Jasper, GA, One Son & Daughter-in-law: Jimmy & Ginger Wood, Canton, GA,
Granddaughter: Maxie Woodall, Jasper, Sister: Ruth Norris, Newnan, Niece: Cathy Sandlin, Newnan
Nephew: Blake Norris, Virginia Beach, Great Niece: Elizabeth Pape, Newnan, Special Niece: Nancy Tatum Teague, Chosen Daughter: Donna Underwood, Several Step Grandchildren and Step Great Grandchildren and Edna’s entire family.
Funeral service will be at Roper Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, with Pete Jones and Rev. David LeGrand officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA at 2:00 PM.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 PM on Tuesday at Roper Funeral Home.
